The “Smart Equip” Forum is born as a space for reflection and dialogue to explore how technology can act as a driver for business growth and personal well-being. Promoted by the Zaragoza Chamber of Commerce and the company Megablok, this gathering brings together professionals and change agents to debate applied innovation, profitability, competitiveness, and quality of life.
The main objective is to analyze the impact of technology from a dual perspective:
– Business:how new technological tools can improve processes, products, and services.
– Individual:solutions that make life simpler, more efficient, and more comfortable for people.

At the first gathering of the “Smart Equip” forum, led by Megablok, challenges and solutions regarding security and privacy in smart cities and digital transformation were debated. The use of technologies such as QR codes, RFID, NFC, and biometrics for secure and convenient access was analyzed, alongside the balance between security and productivity in business environments.
The importance of protecting privacy in interconnected cities, the European framework to reinforce technological sovereignty, and the need to foster a conscious digital culture among users were also highlighted.

THE VOICE OF THE EXPERTS
We analyze how technology has significantly improved security levels and access to information, allowing for greater control and efficiency. However, we also point out a contradiction: despite living safer lives, people feel more anxiety. We highlight the evolution from the analog to the digital environment, with immediate access to data, and how the centralization of functions in mobile devices, such as home automation, poses new challenges in privacy and data protection.
Artificial intelligence and technology have transformed digital privacy and cybersecurity. In this video, we analyze how our personal data has become a valuable resource, the risks of centralizing everything on the mobile phone, and the use of AI for both attack and defense. A key challenge: protecting our information in an increasingly connected world.
We explore how technology has transformed identification and access systems. From the use of fingerprints and facial recognition to the integration of the mobile phone as a digital key, these solutions offer greater convenience and security. We also address the importance of multi-factor authentication, access traceability, and the role of artificial intelligence in real-time threat detection. A key evolution to improve data protection and facilitate usability for people of all ages.
